アレックス・ファーガソン to Join ハーバード・ビジネス・スクール

Sir Alex Ferguson, former manager of Manchester United, has signed a long-term contract to pass on his insights into coaching and leadership strategy as part of HBS Executive Education’s new, ‘The Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports’, program.

Over a 26-year tenure at Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson won 38 trophies, including 13 Premier League and two UEFA Champions League titles, making him one of the most successful managers the game has ever seen.

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity and privilege to contribute to such a respected center of excellence. The time I have already spent at Harvard has been a stimulating experience and I look forward to developing my relationship and activities with the students, faculty and friends of the Harvard Business School community,” said Sir Alex Ferguson in a press release for the school.

By joining HBS Executive Education’s roster of teachers, Sir Alex Ferguson continues his relationship with Harvard Business School. He has already appeared as a guest lecturer at the school and his management techniques provided the inspiration behind two studies carried out by Harvard Business School professor, Anita Elberse, in 2012 and 2013.

“We look forward to welcoming Sir Alex Ferguson on the HBS campus to share his remarkable leadership journey, and contribute to our executive education participants’ ability to make a profound difference in the world,” said Elberse.
